This is a little overdue since he showed his fall 2012 collection in NY a couple of weeks ago but I got a little overwhelmed and kept forgetting to post it even though I was really excited that Miguel Adrover is back! If you are old enough to you’ll remember that his namesake company was bought by Pegasus Apparel Group along with designers John Bartlett, Pamela Dennis and Daryl K over ten years ago. I can only guess that whatever nightmare ensued afterwards is finally over because he’s back! I started going to his shows after he had already shown that eponymous first collection on the Lower East Side. I think I went to his 3rd collection and onwards, and especially that last one the day before September 11th, it was stunning. And I remember his tiny store a few blocks form my apartment (was the store on 7th or 9th street? that fact I can’t remember…) where I would pop in just to browse (way out of my Conde Nast assistant price range at that point). His clothes have a way of fooling you because they may look baggy and unfinished but they are beyond chic and well tailored. Love Miguel! More from fall 2012 below…
