The William, Shakespeare & Peacock


Tuesday night we went to the newly opened and renovated William Hotel on 39th between 5th and 6th which, used to be the Williams Club of Williams College that opened in 1924. It’s a hotel with a great old school English vibe in the restaurant and pub, and super modern extended stay residences and hotel rooms. The Shakespeare pub downstairs and The Peacock restaurant upstairs are packed with a good looking crowd, serving a similar menu of fantastic food by English-born chef Robert Aikens, including a pate that I had to have a bite of. It was worth it. For dinner I had an order of the deviled eggs and the Cheddar Caesar salad with white anchovies. Insanely good.
