Oxfam & Esquire

Lots of great stuff going on last night at Esquire‘s annual Oxfam Party hosted by Joy Bryant and Kristin Davis at the Esquire House in the hills of Los Angeles. On display were Rankin‘s photographs of the survivors of the humanitarian situation in the Congo which is the worst in the world. Last year 900,000 people were forced to flee their homes. Oxfam International was formed in 1995 by a group of independent non-governmental organizations to work directly in the communities to find lasting solutions to poverty and injustice all over the world. Along with doing a good deed by supporting a great organization it was also fun to wander through the gorgeous house and see the amazing art on the walls including Ed Ruscha, Richard Prince, Jack Pierson, Marilyn Minter and Jean Michel Basquiat. I got a little hooked on the Woodford Reserve Bourbon too which was amazing. To top the night off I ran into my old friend Wendell Brown who is a fashion editor at Esquire in NYC. www.oxfam.org
