My old friend from NYC Scott Campbell had his LA debut last night at OHWOW gallery’s inaugural show. The work is phenomenal, I was blown away and it was so great to see Scott who is still one of the nicest guys I know. He deserves all the success he gets not only because he is truly talented in every sphere he touches but also because he is just a great guy. He meticulously sculpted classic tattoo imagery out of uncut sheets of dollars directly from the US Mint to create the works. The piece below used $5,000 worth of currency sheets to create a three dimensional skull carving.
