Back in March I styled Tia Mowry in the ad campaign for the show she does on the Style Network with her sister Tamera. She brought along her son Cree who I also styled which was a new experience for me. It was a really fun day, we shot some of my favorite designers like Geren Ford, Corey Lynn Calter and J Brand. Kaws Does The Macy’s Day Parade

This November 24th KAWS is having one of his creations turned into a 40 feet long, 34 feet wide and 30 feet tall balloon that will fly during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in NY. I’ve avoided the parade like the plague all these years (I hate crowds unless it’s a music festival in which case I suck up the misery…) but I kind of want to go this year to see this. “KAWS: The Nature of Need,” a show of some of his new paintings, opened last week at Galerie Perrotin in Hong Kong.

Gucci in Cannes

Dying over Charlotte Casiraghi‘s Gucci gown above, that she just wore to the screening of a newly restored (thanks to Gucci) version of Sergio Leone’s Once Upon a Time in America which debuted this evening at the 65th Cannes Film Festival. Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini as well as cast members Robert De Niro, Jennifer Connelly, James Woods, and Elizabeth McGovern joined the Leone family for the occasion. Liars, Vince Clark Remix, New Album & A Tour

Loving this new remix of the Liars‘ “No.1 Against The Rush” track by Vince Clark that I just got in my box. The Liars have a new album that hits June 5th and a tour that starts at Webster Hall in NYC on June 20th. The Liars are Angus Andrew, Aaron Hemphill and Julian Gross. LA-based photographer Todd Cole did their music video which is so eerie and awful I had a hard time watching it (but it’s well done and the light is gorgeous)… Check it out below. Continue reading →

Geren Ford is Having a Summer Party!

A few of my favorite LA designers are gathering their fashion flock to celebrate the start of summer with new frocks, libations and other treats (the Peach Kings are playing!) Friday May 25th from 2pm til 8pm at the Geren Ford Annex at 1034 Seward Street. Also in attendance with their fashionable goodies will be Issimo, Kathleen Whitaker, Kelly Lamb, Loden Dager, Magda Berliner, Muses and Rebels, Rachel Craven, Samantha Grisdal and Wren. Ezra Miller

Great article on Ezra Miller in WWD today. He is an amazing actor, I fell head over heels with him after seeing him in a film at Sundance in 2011 with Ellen Barkin called “Another Happy Day”. Bets hedged he will be gracing the pages of a lot of magazines this year. I am already obsessed with the thought of seeing him in an adaptation of “Madame Bovary” which he starts filming with Mia Wasikowska this summer. I Heart Ann Demeulemeester Look

Speaking of dresses… I have been living in floor length dresses the past few weeks. They make me feel all girly and sexy… and tall. Even in dare I say, flats (gasp!) Love this All Saints dress with an Ann Demeulemeester jacket (to die!!), Balenciaga boots, and this Miu Miu tote. Not an average every day look but it would certainly look good walking into the Ann D show in Paris during collections, right?
