Australian based designer Brenda Harvey of Benah was showing her sweet line of clutches and bags yesterday at the Chateau in LA and I fell in love with them! Super cute colors and shapes, exactly what I am obsessing over at the moment. Plus she is the sweetest coolest mom and soon to be wife (two weeks from the wedding!) Chantal Claret’s First Solo EP

Chantal Claret‘s first solo EP, The Pleasure Seeker, came out on iTunes this week. I shot Chantal in 2005 with her old band Morningwood for their first album which was released by Capital Records in January of 2006. The shot above is her and band member Pedro Yanowitz and is still one of my all time favorite photographs I’ve ever taken. Evening Look, Staying at Home…

Ok, so I don’t usually devote two posts to the same brand on the same day but when I get obsessed, I stay obsessed. Every once in a while a line gets it so right it’s hard to look at anything else and Beautiful Bottoms is kind of doing it for me right now (no bad jokes here please). Jenni Kayne & Intermix at Brentwood Country Mart

LA designer Jenni Kayne just opened her second boutique (the first is in West Hollywood at 614 N Almont Drive) at the Brentwood Country Mart along with Intermix which opened the doors to its new boutique last Friday. Nola Singer

Speaking of amazing LA designers (see above), a few weeks ago while pulling for a client I went over to jewelry designer Nola Singer‘s studio where we got to go through secret drawers and cabinets full of her well thought out handcrafted jewelry, some of it reconstructed vintage, some vintage inspired and all of it gorgeous. I met Nola briefly at the InStyle Warner Brothers Golden Globes party back in January where me and all of the InStyle girls were decked out in her necklaces, earrings, and cuffs and absolutely fell in love with the pieces. Spring is in the Air, Day Look for Fancy Fun in the Sun*

Word about town today is Spring is here and summer is around the corner! Again, the irony of saying that in a town where the median temperature is 70 degrees does not escape me. Life is full of contradictions and we love them. Anyhoo… *I think I just needed an excuse to build a look around this Alexander McQueen lace trimmed silk chiffon mini dress. Paired with some really great wedge heels from Ms.Rachel Zoe who continues to impress with her namesake line (huge admiration points to my fellow stylists who have multiple hyphenates and do them all well!) And dying over this hat from Madewell (a tiny nod to the tomboys…) and this gorgeous little bag from Valentino. Riot!

Love this new book that went on sale today from Rizzoli! The cover is gorgeous and chic and I can never get enough of the “tomboy” or masculin/feminin mystique. Sexy and timeless.
