Obsessed with the Collette Dinnigan dress we chose for actress Tia Mowry, who I started styling this month, to wear to the People’s Choice Awards last night. She looks gorgeous, right??? Tia’s series The Game just started it’s fifth season and her reality show on the Style Network (“Tia & Tamera”) is the highest rated show in the network’s history, averaging more than 750,000 viewers per week. Forevermark & InStyle

Last night I stopped by a pre-Globes cocktail party for starlets and their stylists co-hosted by Golden Globe nominee Michelle Williams with Forevermark diamonds and InStyle magazine. There were some amazing diamonds on display designed by a slew of familiar names including Fred Leighton, Me and Ro, Stephen Webster and Martin Katz. Above is the ‘White Light’ one of a kind diamond brooch from The Forevermark Precious Collection (which wasn’t on display last night but I am obsessed with it!) hand set with 2,477 rare diamonds weighing in at 40.68 carats (!!) Audi & Martin Katz Kick Off Golden Globes 2012

Last night was the kick off party for the Golden Globes at Cecconis’ co-hosted by Audi and jewelry designer Martin Katz (though this year there was no gorgeous Audi sitting at the entrance which I kind of missed). Lots of familiar faces with a few old friendly New Yorkers passing through (Laurie Trott and Joe Zee). DJ star Michelle Pesce was spinning as usual and the one responsible for the late night dance off which has become a tradition at these parties. Golden Globes 2012, Dresses That Inspire Me…

I can’t go on with the dresses until I gush about how much I LOVED and went crazy over The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Forget how fascinating the story was, how amazing the acting was, how satisfying some of the scenes were to watch (you know what I’m talking about) but how hot was the romance between the two of them? Glenn Kaino at Honor Fraser

Last night was the opening of LA-born and bred artist Glenn Kaino‘s new show at Honor Fraser. The work is really great, I loved the tiny sculptures of tools and pieces related to cartography. I always like the stories he tells, there is a subtle but well engineered narrative in his stuff. The show is up through saturday February 18th at 2622 South La Cienega Boulevard. Glenn is also married to one of my favorite LA designers, Corey Lynn Calter.
