This has been a week of fun dinners, all on West 9th street! Last night we gathered at Omar’s La Ranita to celebrate Eva Mendes’ new collection for New York & Company. The pop up store is officially open for business at the corner of West Broadway and Spring. I got the black and white lace dress with the ribbon tie. I loved all of Eva’s personal touches at the dinner, like handwritten notes to the guests and engraved jewelry boxes. The collection looks great, so many cute and wearable pieces, including the form fitted dresses, which I need to go back for. She did perfect prints and soft trousers, which I fell for as well. Beth Minardi

Hair whiz Beth Minardi hosted a dinner with Taryn Manning on Tuesday night at The Lion where we all gathered for a few hours of fun with the girls. Beth is expanding her color line to 75 shades (above) and gave Taryn a hair makeover at the Mark Garrison Salon earlier in the day. I’m still waiting for someone to properly get rid of that hint of red a stylist put in my hair a few years ago so am looking forward to testing out some of the goodies. Photos from dinner below. Perry Ellis Dinner, Sunset Tower

Last Wednesday I hosted a dinner at Sunset Tower with Perry Ellis and a group of friends from LA. The brand just released a gorgeous new book in October with Rizzoli, written and compiled by his old friend Jeffrey Banks, about his life and work. The collection for fall and spring looks amazing (can someone please send me the man wearing the clothes as well?) I am officially campaigning for them to re-launch the women’s line too. London Showrooms, Chateau Cocktails

This week some of London’s most talented designers descended on LA with suites full of gorgeous frocks nestled into the bungalows of the Chateau. After seeing gorgeous prints from Matthew Williamson, Mary Katrantzou and Preen we stayed for cocktails by the pool with old friends and new faces. Day Look, LA Market Appointments, Dinner

Fine, so it’s not a classic day look but come on, we work in fashion, the whole point is dressing up! I did say there was a dinner later right? Zara floral dress with a McQ jacket, Louboutin boots and a Tory Burch bag. The bags from Tory the past few years have been insane, I need a new one every season please, and I kind of want to meet their accessories designers because they are killing it. Seriously.
