I know this week I have focused on a lot of media stuff but I can’t help it, it’s a natural obsession for me and I am so excited to read that one of our old friends from the Russian Vogue days, Karina Dobrotvorskaya, has been named president and editorial director of brand development for Conde Nast International! She is a total super star and this does not come as a surprise, especially since she has been president of Conde Nast Russia since 2008 and launched a slew of their hot titles. Me with Anita Gigovskaya* who was another one of our amazing colleagues at Russian Vogue, she is now vice president and commercial director of Condé Nast Russia. When this photo was taken Anita was Aliona Doletskaya‘s assistant and I was the fashion editor. I think I am 26 in this photo.

Me and Vika Davydova, who is now the editor in chief of Russian Vogue, in this photo she was beauty editor of the magazine. She went on to launch Russian Glamour as editor in chief followed by Tatler and then full circle back to Vogue. Amazing women…
