Bruce Davidson’s book of Subway photographs from the early 80′s was just reissued in August by Steidl and is being distributed by Aperature in the states. It’s amazing to look at these images and realize just how much NYC has changed. It was already nothing like this in 1995 when I first moved to the Lower East Side though in recent years it has started to revert back just a little… The photos are an incredible time capsule and on view through the end of the month at Aperture Gallery, 547 West 27th Street, 4th floor, NYC, (212) 505-5555
