DC artist, music historian and legend Cynthia Connolly is having a show of her photography that opens this weekend May 11th through June 16th at Civilian Art Projects in DC. The opening reception is Friday 7-9pm, 1019 7th Street NW Washington, DC. Cynthia is amazing, she’s been shooting for over 30 years and has documented some amazing stuff in the music scene as well as all over the US on her myriad travels. She shot a gorgeous photo of me and my film crew (which included her then long time boyfriend Ian Mackaye) on the set of my senior film project at Bard in upstate NY in 1995. One of these days I will take it out of it’s frame and scan it so I can post it.
