Garry Winogrand in San Francisco

The San Francisco Museum of Art is opening an exhibition of Gary Wonogrand‘s work tomorrow, March 9th. When he died at age 56 in 1984, he left 2500 undeveloped rolls of film. The show, which is jointly organized by SFMOMA and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, will travel to the Met in New York, Jeu de Paume in Paris, and FundaciĆ³n MAPFRE in Madrid. The show will be up at SFMOMA through June 2, 2013. I sense a summer road trip coming my way…
