A little obsessed with this young Iranian filmmaker, Emilie Richard-Froozan, whose reel I stumbled on. In honor of Cannes, here is the next generation of reel women. Love this, haunting and layered. Her first feature, Buttercup Bill, is playing in the MARFA film festival in July. The film stars Remy Bennett (Tony’s granddaughter) and was produced by Blonde to Black Pictures, which was started by Sadie Frost and Emma Comley a year ago. Can’t wait to see what they all do in the next ten years.
