Hayward Holding Company

I went to the Coeur show at the Cooper Building earlier this week. It’s a small curated trade show with some really great young designers which always gets me excited. You never know what gems you will find at these smaller shows so I find it’s worth going. That’s how I have stumbled upon so many fresh designs like these bags from Hayward Holding Company, based in Venice and just launching their first collection. Their bags are made from leather, repurposed military canvas and wool with vintage lining foraged from around the world or leather and wood veneer with luxurious lining. In the end, every bag ends up with its own unique character and social purpose as 10% of each bag is donated to charity. They are also donating 10% of each bag to Inner City Arts which was founded in 1989 and has since brought life-changing opportunities to more than 150,000 children living in Los Angeles’s poorest neighborhoods. I love their ethos and the bags are gorgeous and all priced between $120 and $400. More bag glory below…
