Well, they did it. Kate and William got married and Kate wore Alexander McQueen. Lots of things in that sentence to make you smile and cry. The fact that she wore McQueen is not really a surprise since that was all the speculation but it does warm the heart a little that she paid tribute to one of fashion’s greatest most sorely missed talents. And she really does look stunning. Ugh, I hate being a die-hard romantic, sometimes it’s just plain annoying, and it ruins eye make up. Ok, I am off to the London in West Hollywood to watch the affair in full throttle on repeat since there was no chance in hell I was waking up at 4am to watch it. The Boxwood Cafe (also know as Gordon Ramsay’s cafĂ© is doing a traditional afternoon tea service with finger sandwiches (smoked salmon and cucumber, curried chicken with golden raisins, and roast beef with red-onion marmalade), fresh-baked scones, pastries (including ginger-candied wedding cake), and of course, champagne. Afternoon tea is $28 per person ($40 with Champagne). And today, the London Bar will be showing the wedding beginning at 7 a.m. on a constant loop… 1020 N. San Vicente Blvd., West Hollywood, (310) 358-7788.
