I fell in love with these gorgeous earrings from UK-based Victoria Tryon, they are real and excitingly expensive. She doesn’t sell stateside (yet) but you can find them for sale online here. Rimowa just launched an iPad cover in time for the holidays. I have one of their amazing pieces of luggage and can’t imagine my travel life without it. Seriously, it changed my travel forever. Also, a new posthumous album of various recordings from Amy Winehouse have just been released.
This past year a few really great specialty boutiques opened up in LA including Vosges chocolates in Beverly Hills and luxury beauty experts Santa Maria Novella on Melrose Place. I just started using the face soap from SMN and it’s fantastic! I usually use liquid cleansers but they asked me to give it a try and I love it! And chocolate truffles from Vosges is a no brainer for gift giving. They are the ones who do those amazing bacon and hot pepper blends with chocolate. Totally addictive.
And I really want a Smythson Panama 2012 dairy (or the Bijou Soho Diary in fuchsia, LOVE!) Oh, and for the funny obsessed in your life there was nothing funnier this year than the first season of Awkward. It’s been a long time since “quality television” was in the same sentence as “MTV” but this year the creators of all things horridly REAL finally came back to life with an actual TV show worth watching. Smart, funny and brilliantly written this is a must watch perfect stocking stuffer. Happy holiday shopping!
