I watched Pretty in Pink (one of the best films ever made, RIP John Hughes) again for the 100th time last weekend and as usual got inspired by all the great fashion in the film. Did John Hughes invent flower print socks? It kind of feels that way. Miss Selfridge nude 3D prom dress, Madewell outbound olive jacket, Harrow lace up oxford, Celeste Stein flower socks (the best), Gucci wide brimmed felt hat, and Linda Farrow acetate and snakeskin sunglasses and of course The Psychedelic Furs’ “Pretty in Pink” track on 12″ vinyl. “Let’s plow.”
