A few years ago while I was working as Fashion Editor for WWD a young designer named Sara Shepherd emailed me with a lookbook from her 2nd collection. I went crazy over it. Loved it and started shooting it for WWD every chance I got which resulted in two covers, a ton of other styling opportunities for me to use her designs and a lifetime (I hope) friendship and working relationship with someone I adore, admire and respect. She went to London’s famed Central St. Martin’s and for the past few years has worked out of San Francisco. I love Sara’s tailoring and cuts and her feel for the hard and soft edges which match my own aesthetic. These are a few shots from her Fall 2012 collection which she asked me to photograph.
