Simon Spurr Leaves His Own Label

WWD areported on Friday that menswear designer Simon Spurr has left his namesake label just a week after being nominated for the CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year award alongside Patrik Ervell and Billy Reid. Simon, who founded the label with business partner Judd Nydes who helped finance the company, has been an up and coming designer for years, holding positions at Yves Saint Laurent, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Sad news but perhaps there is something bigger, better and brighter for the talented Simon up ahead. I love what he does and have been a fan since my own WWD days. His fall 2012 collection above.
