I photographed Sophie Hawley-Weld of Sofi Tukker a couple of weeks ago at dusk on top of a rooftop on the West Side. Sophie is gorgeous, smart and emanates a strong beautiful light, which I think we captured well. I love the masculine feminine disco pop world groove she and her music partner Tucker Halpern are doing with their year old band. Their first EP, Soft Animals, came out over the summer and they just released a music video today for “Awoo.” Watch the video and see more images of Sophie from our shoot below.
