Summer Reading Wish List

books lydia davis

So many great books to read this summer. One of my favorite Bard MFA professors, Lydia Davis has a new book of short stories out, Can’t And Won’t. More books below, including Tom Robbins’ first (and presumably only) memoir Tibetan Pie: A True Account of an Imaginative Life, Khaled Khalifa In Praise of Hatred, Sophia Amoruso’s #GirlBoss (I am constantly in awe of this woman), Julia Fierro’s new novel Cutting Teeth, Hillary Rodham Clinton’s new book Hard Choices, Wintering A Novel of Sylvia Plath by Kate Moses, Emma Woolf’s The Ministry of Thin, which explores our cultural obsession with dieting, beauty and youth, Maggie Shipstead’s new “ballet novel,” which spans three generations, Astonish Me and Leila Hadley’s classic memoir Give Me The World.
