Telesca, Hudson Valley

I have always been envious of anyone who has a natural touch at interior design which I’ve never really had. Meagan Camp, a talented prop/interior stylist from the Hudson Valley, is one of those people. Aside from pulling together beautiful shoots for a myriad of print and online publications and clients Meagan recently opened a small shop in the Hyde Park Antiques Center (which of course is near Bard… I’m just saying, any excuse to wax poetic about my old stomping ground). Telesca started off as a jewelry line of reworked antique and vintage parts, and as of this past February, has grown to include antiques and vintage items. Along with a line of in-house jewelry, she offers personalized design services. “Part of the concept of Telesca is to inspire the customer with exciting displays and installations, and every few months we completely change up the displays based on a new theme. For Summer, the inspiration was the way of life. During the summer months, most people travel and often times it’s to the beach or the lake, so we brought in the cool colors of water (hence the “wave wall”) and wanted to conjure up days of lounging, relaxing and summer activities. Think handwoven 1900’s picnic and fishing baskets, 1940’s camping blankets, 1960’s tennis rackets, 1950’s souvenirs including postcards from France and slides from California, vintage bingo cards and a selection of Mad Men inspired barware for sipping mixed drinks poolside.” Love it! You can email Meagan at shoptelesca@gmail.com or go visit in person at 4192 Albany Post Road, Hyde Park, NY. They’re having a grand opening party for the shop on Sunday August 5th from 1pm to 4pm if you happen to be in the neighborhood. More goodies from the shop below.
