My friend Elissa Kravetz recently launched The Farley Project an anti-bullying initiative which is the topic of the day with everyone from Christina Aguilera to Lady Gaga promoting their own ‘accept & love everyone as they are’ causes, which there can never be enough of. Kids of all ages need all the support they can get to be reminded that there is always light at the end of the tunnel and while adults themselves may sometimes turn out to be bullies in all shapes and sizes and from all walks of life it’s good to know someone out there is listening and paying attention. Elissa held her first fundraising event for the project last weekend which sadly I wasn’t able to make but we wanted to give her a shout out of love & support because it really is wonderful cause.

Thank you for sharing this info! I just “liked” the Farley Project on FB. Having just spent a year working in public schools, I can tell you that it’s a rougher, meaner environment than when we were kids, thanks in big part to the emphasis on teaching to the test(s) and the hyper-competitive college pressure … but there are also brilliant, compassionate kids and adults in those schools trying to change up that environment, who know that schools are ground zero for the social change that’s desperately needed. Kudos to your friend!
Thanks Denise!
