All’Angolo

Photo_73

Apparently there are still secret places to find in LA. This Saturday I had the best Italian this side of Milan at All’Angolo. It reminds me of my favorite place in NY Max on Avenue B (recently shuttered after hurricane Sandy, it literally killed the place, thank god there’s an outpost in Tribeca) where I used to go almost nightly. The freshest pasta and mozzarella since Bagutta opened up on 2nd street in the late 90s. Yes. It is THAT good. If you want to impress your date, come here. And don’t be deterred or confused by the address, yes, you’re at the right spot, it is in Koreatown. It may not look like much from the outside and I was too busy eating to take photos of the food, but just trust me. A photo from a fashion shoot I did for Achtung magazine in 2002 above, the secret hideaway below.
