L’oubli on the L.E.S.

My friend Bizzy Jenkins took me to a new bar in the neighborhood a few nights ago, L’oubli on Suffolk Street between Houston and Stanton. Ben Demarchelier (Patrick‘s nephew) opened the place up just a few months ago. The menu is filled with great French snacks, charcuterie and cheese plates, steak tartare, baked camembert, and of course fois gras and the usual array of French desserts. The drinks and specialty cocktails looked just as good… French Martinis, Oyster Shooters and the Smoked Peach (Tequila, Mezcal, lime juice, agave, and peach schnapps….) Great beer and wine list and Egg Nog for the holidays. The perfect place to warm up during a blizzard. 188 Suffolk Street.
