I hadn’t heard of the New Orleans Bounce scene until just now (it’s been around for almost twenty years) though I have been following Baltimore Club, which has a similar vibe, for a lot of years because whenever I go visit the parents in B’more I inevitably end up on a Club radio station and the beats are insane. I remember seeing Diplo way back in 2008 at this spot called Sonar. Man, talk about an incredible set. I knew he was going to be big, but I didn’t realize he was going to be this big.
