The Runway Outlet

Australian transplant Allie Kehoe opened The Runway Outlet almost three years ago in November of 2009. She contemplated a store focused on Australian designers but decided that LA locals would be an easier, more fun fit which is good news for the rest of us because she carries overstock and samples from some of LA’s best local talents including Stella + Jamie, Leyendecker, Lovers + Friends, For The love of Lemons, Nombre, Kite + Butterfly (I died over their dresses yesterday when I popped in), Alpinestars and everyone’s favorite, Myne. She does sales around the middle of the month and everything is priced from $25 to $150. It’s in Silverlake just a few doors down from Silverlake Wine and the new library (where, did you know you could rent DVDs for free? I just got the full first season of Treme!) 2395 Glendale Boulevard, 323-522-6192. I love the East side.

Victoria’s Secret Boots

I don’t think I have ever ordered a pair of shoes from Victoria’s Secret, in fact I don’t think I have ordered anything at all from that catalog for over a decade but these boots are kinda killing me. I may have to order a pair. The color and the heel are pretty sick, and the slouchy effect… Love!

Alexander McQueen Bracelets & Bangles

I love these McQueen bracelets. Last summer I got the wrap one above in natural horse hair but the hairs promptly rubbed off within two months. I was not pleased. I still wear it religeously eventhough it is starting to look a little sad and beat up which is why I may need to replace it with the one above… or below. I haven’t decided. Thoughts? E Cookie Anniversary & Love Birds

Last Thursday Elaine at E Cookie held her six year anniversary shopping event hosted by Love Birds at her Venice boutique. The shop is packed with really cute and affordable goodies, everything from dresses to jewelry and bags. I got two dresses and the cutest Everly skirt with this awesome bird print on it. Balmain Resort 2013

I heart Olivier Rousteing. I got distracted last week by couture and a couple of shoots (oh and boy troubles, did I mention boy troubles?) so missed seeing this collection though it showed earlier this month in Paris. Anyway, the resort 2013 collection from Balmain cheered me up. Gorgeous beyond words. I am so obsessed with all the black and white stripes, checks and patterns and all those pastels.
