It’s that time of year, I’m just about over the summer heat and fantasies of fall weather start running through my head. I may not be thinking about sweaters just yet (it is so hot outside) but boots are definitely on my mind. I went to the Gavert Atelier salon in Beverly Hills last week to try out their new resident color expert, Sherry Ratay who is going to be here monthly and has her own Salon Ratay in Orlando, Florida. I gave Sherry the usual challenge I’ve given colorists over the past few years to please get rid of the left over red tint in my hair and take it back to it’s natural dark brown and am thrilled to report that she did just that. Gorgeous color and a beautiful blow out by Mika Fowler who is Gavert Atelier’s Style Director and works with all kinds of celerity clients including Malin Akerman and Rosario Dawson.

So excited for our wine tasting trip this weekend! Believe it or not I have never done a proper wine excursion to Santa Barbara (…I know!) So this weekend we are going up there for a tour and I’m thinking I need to get my striped dress out for the occasion. Love this J Crew silk shift version with these adorable Sperry leopard top siders and Michael Kors leather wrap bracelet. And you have to keep your hands free so this Rebecca Minkoff shoulder strap clutch is perfect. Last weekend in a haze of happiness on a Saturday morning I wandered through the Sunset Junction area of Silverlake and stumbled on a new boutique called YES on the corner of Hyperion and Sunset. They sell vintage threads for men and women as well as random household and kitchen goods, art and cool knick knacks (I am obsessed with globes after that Newsroom premier!) all fit for your shabby chic house in the hills. I loved the vibe and aesthetic.
