I stopped by the new Monika Chiang boutique on Robertson yesterday to chat with the young designer herself and get a peak at some of the new arrivals. I really like the clean simple lines of her clothes, all with a touch of edge in the details; a dagger here, a chain there… perfect for the ex-punk rocker who no longer wants torn up fishnets and leather but still prefers her button downs with a bit of personality. She also just started selling this awesome iPad case which she surprised me with as we were saying our goodbyes. I had just come from a full day of meetings so had my iPad in my purse (total miracle, that tiny little thing holds a lifetime of work and portfolios!) and of course switched cases ASAP. Totally obsessed with this chic little leather case! Love it.
