Hedi Slimane just shot a new ad campaign for Saint Laurent, which he’s helmed as Creative Director for the past two seasons (his second collection will show in Paris next week). Parties, Week of February 18th… Oscars 2013

This week began with some great parties to kick off Oscars week. Monday night we went to The Chateau for the Vanity Fair and Juicy Couture shindig in Bungalow One, which always spills out by the pool. Estella wore a dress from Ramy Brook (pics below). On Tuesday we went to another Vanity Fair soiree at Teddy’s inside the Roosevelt Hotel to support Frieda Pinto’s new film that showed at Sundance this year and comes out in March, Girl Rising (watch the trailer below, it’s really powerful, I dare you not to cry within the first three seconds). The night was sponsored by L’Oreal which treated guests to touch ups and lip gloss (I’m obsessed with the , hence a little love here). Pics from the parties and of course the photo booth, below. A not entirely unrelated photo of Vanity Fair matches above that were given out as gifts to guests at one of their Oscars dinners in the past. Continue reading →

Art of Elysium, Pieces of Heaven Auction

Last night Art of Elysium held their 6th Annual Pieces Of Heaven auction at the Ace Museum, sponsored by Ciroc Ultra Premium Vodka, to raise money for the programs they do with sick children all over LA. I’ve volunteered with them and it’s pretty amazing. One of my photos was included in the auction last night and sold, which was pretty rad. There were some great prints in the show including Alex Prager, Ansel Adams and Melvin Sokolsky as well as works by Sheppard Fairey, Gregory Siff and David Fahey, and it was an honor to be amongst them.
