Andrew Wyeth

I can’t think of any valid excuse to post an image of Andrew Wyeth’s “Christina’s World” (1948) other than it is one of my all time favorite paintings and has been for many years. I bought a beautiful first edition of “An American Vision: Three Generations of Wyeth Art” years ago in a used book store on Bleecker Street. N.C. Wyeth (grandfather), Andrew Wyeth (father) and James Wyeth (son) were all painters with their own distinct American voice. MOMA has the painting in their permanent collection and every time I go I have to stand in front of it for a few minutes.
