Ann Demeulemeester has always followed her Goth path and is one of my favorite shows to go to during Paris Fashion Week along with Martine Sitbon, Comme Des Garcons, and Isabel Marant. They all have very different voices but the one thing they have in common is the strength of that singular fashion voice and a style aesthetic for a very specific girl. At times the girls overlap and their voices become the perfect chorus. Though her palette and aesthetic rarely shift, Ann Demeulemeester’s clothes always feel fresh and new and rarely disappoint.
