I have been lucky enough to sit through couture shows in the past and there is really nothing that compares. Aside from the fact that you are spared the crowds of regular pret-a-porter shows and privileged enough to sit in a room of the world’s top editors and buyers but Paris in the summer is … well, exactly what you would expect: Amazing. Alas, I am not there this summer (I spent a fun filled weekend being slightly boozy in the hills of LA at various BBQs which at this point in my life is just as fabulous…) but Givenchy has always been one of my favorites and this season is not much different. The gorgeous colors and slightly over the top grandeur with an edge is breathtaking.
