Rizzoli just released a new book of Kaws‘ work. I’ve been obsessed with him for years and remember when his pieces started popping up on phone booths and advertising stands around New York in the mid-90′s. I’m sure I was not the only one trying to figure out how to get my hands on whatever that was and how did it get inside the actual glass without destroying it… It tormented me for several years. He is having a book signing at The Standard in Miami if you happen to be there for Art Basel, this Friday December 3rd from 7-9pm. He also has a show up at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Connecticut through January 11, 2011 if you are heading that way.
