Released February 1st, “Talk About Body” is the debut album from the Brooklyn-based band MEN, a new project from Le Tigre’s JD Samson, Ladybug Transistor’s Michael O’Neill and Ginger Brooks Takahashi. I saw them play at the Echoplex last night and they blew me away. The sound is a bit Electropop dance mixed with 80’s synth and punk. I’ve loved Bikini Kill and Le Tigre for years and it was nice to sit in that time machine a little last night. I’m obsessed with the uninterrupted one-minute long shot in the opening of the video. Such a simple concept and done beautifully.
