Tess Giberson Spring Summer 2011

Tess Giberson is a persistent philosopher at heart. She and I became friends while working together many years ago at Calvin Klein in the men’s Collection design department. She always had a flavor for minimal design and asymmetrical cuts and I have always loved her creations as well as her artists’ aesthetic and cerebral approach. I haven’t seen her in a long time so it was really fun to pop by her presentation in Chelsea yesterday. The collection was small and focused, mostly black and white with just a couple pops of color in the Rothko tradition. Beautifully cut, quiet and well thought out much like Tess her self.
