Balthus At The Met

The Met is opening a show of balthus’ work called Cats and Girls—Paintings and Provocations on September 25th through January 12, 2014. I love Balthus, and the painting above. Also love how New York magazine phrased their blurb on the show… “When you think about it, Balthus (1908-2001) was a lot like the internet: partial to pictures of cats and underage neighbor girls.”
