Alexander McQueen at The Met

I finally saw the Alexander McQueen exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Tuesday. It was beyond mind blowing and moving but that probably goes without saying. The Met has extended the show through August 7th and for $50 a person visitors can access the galleries between 9:30am to 2:30pm while the rest of the museum is closed on Mondays. Also, the hour long wait can be avoided if you happen to have a membership which then allows you to go straight in rather than waiting. That would have been helpful to know before I stood in line but it was worth it. 150,000 people have been through the exhibition since it opened, the Met’s 2nd largest show to date after 2005’s “Vincent van Gogh: The Drawings.” Below is a short clip of the Kate Moss hologram finale from his Fall/Winter 2006 runway show. It just makes you cry. Especially after everything
