Last weekend I was in Nashville, one of my favorite road trip stops (more photos from the road next week), and got to check out a few of their new boutiques and musicians during CMAs. There is so much happening in that cool little city it’s hard not be enamored of their local vibe. Sarah Davidson, one of the local musicians, stylists, bloggers and artists, just opened a boutique in May called Kitty in a recently expanded shopping area which also boasts Barista Parlor around the corner as well as several other newly open stores including Moto Moda, owned by Jimmy Pratt who sells bikes and motorcycle gear as well as new and vintage guys clothes (girls can easily adopt the striped 70s Ts and jackets), and a great contemporary shop, Sisters of Nature, which carries affordable soft cotton separates, jewelry and home decor items. The namesake of Sarah’s boho chic with a modern flair filled space is country singer Kitty Wells, who was an all around female powerhouse and inspiration in every way. There is a general kick ass girl vibe in Nashville that I love. Every time I’m there I meet cool chicks doing rad things in every arena, from fashion to food to music.
Some of the cool stuff Sarah carries, including one of my favorite brands, Cali-based Biya.
Sarah, who is also a member of Nashville based trio Stella James, is the brains behind the fashion at Kitty.
Surrounding a portrait of Kitty Wells are other talented ladies from every corner.
