Summer Reading, My Top Books To Devour

My obsession with food and wine is just as bad as everyone else’s these days. One of my favorite reads is The New Yorker food issue where they compile some of the best food writing EVER. I also love food related books and have read every single one Ruth Reichl has ever written, some of them twice. Right now there are so many good food books out there and the ones above and below are all on my summer reading list beginning with Alyssa Shelasky‘s Apron Anxiety: My Messy Affairs In and Out of the Kitchen. Then April Bloomfield’s A Girl and Her Pig, which is part memoir and part cookbook (though I am not gonna lie, the cover scares me just a little), followed by Gael Greene‘s Insatiable: Tales From A Life of Delicious Excess, an account of her life and the years she spent as New York magazine’s restaurant critic and finally John DeLucie‘s (he’s the executive chef and partner at The Waverly Inn) The Hunger: A Story of Food, Desire, and Ambition.
