LA Food & Wine Festival

LAFW

We went to the LA Food and Wine Festival‘s opening night yesterday (also Giada De Laurentiis’ birthday) and it was phenomenal. This is only the third year they’ve done it and my first year attending but I have to say, it was stellar. Food and wine lover heaven. So many amazing wines to try and incredible food from some of LA’s favorite places including oysters from Bouchon, smoked fish from Little Dom’s, salted caramel custard from Chef Jeff Mahin. Amazing burrata with salmon roe, and caviar with chives. Way too much to list in one breath… It was an endless and overwhelmingly great experience. I even ate duck. Yup, I put aside all health and other concerns and just went for it. It was awesome. Life is short, I am thankful I get to enjoy it at every turn. Thanks for having us!

I wore my Lucky Brand wedges, which were cute AND comfortable for all the walking we did.

Caviar. Yes.

Such a beautiful event. This photo as well as the caviar was taken by my gal Victoria Gomelsky, who aside from being a budding photographer and always up for an adventure, is also Editor in Chief of JCK Magazine.
