Pan Zur, Tivoli

I’m not going to lie, one of the things I miss most about being on the East Coast is going upstate on the weekends. Malibu is not the same thing. This weekend I visited some old friends in Rhinebeck and Saturday night we went to dinner at Pan Zur, a Spanish place that opened up about two years ago in the same space where Val Nehez’s Cafe Pongo used to be. The wine and food were fantastic (though very heavy on the carnivorous side, including pig ears which I didn’t try, so be prepared). Next time you need a good destination for a day trip or a weekend away from the city Tivoli is the place. While I was at Bard I lived in no less than three different houses and apartments there.
