Let’s Eat, Recipes From My Kitchen Notebook

I have to admit there is nothing sexier to me than a man who cooks or makes music (or god help me, does both). Food writer (and son of the Duchess of Cornwall and prince Charles’ step son) Tom Parker Bowles fits into the former category of men who know their way around a kitchen and his new book “Let’s Eat, Recipes From My Kitchen Notebook,” has just been released this month from St.Martin’s Press. The book has recipes for everything from Mexican sambutes (deep fried filled tortillas stuffed with spicy pork mix) to kipper pate and an oriental cucumber salad, chicken liver and chorizo, and “a really good fish pie” (I am throwing all unhealthy thoughts of meat out the window as I write…), proper crab cakes, tons of amazing desserts (autumn pudding, rhubarb & ginger crumble, sticky toffee pudding, eccles cake ice cream) and cocktails. Also something I am dying to try, purple sprouting broccoli with chillies and anchovies. Sweet. I also love the design of the cover art. Anything hand written just gets me, especially these days…
