Guy Lalibertè

Yesterday evening I got a chance to see up close the new book Gaia that Guy Lalibertè, the founder of Cirque du Soleil, curated from photos he took when traveling to the moon. Yep, I said traveling to the moon. Prosper & Martine Assouline hosted a small cocktail party in his honor at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills where guests, including Sam Nazarian himself of SLS, looked at the incredible photos taken from way up high. Guy was traveling 17,500 miles per hour, while making 16 tours of the earth every day. Pretty cool. Buzz Aldrin‘s wife was there as well though Buzz himself was unable to make it at the last minute.
