Geren Ford Sample Sale!

Geren Ford‘s sample sale is next week! Enough said. I’m not going to lie, there are some VIP hours which I will be running to but sadly I can’t share those because well, that’s just less for me (plus, I’ve been sworn to secrecy and I don’t want my sample sale privileges revoked…) Mark your calendars ladies, some of the cutest dresses and separates in the world are going on major sale!

Tracy Reese, Clos Du Bois & Chic Picnique

Let’s be honest, there is nothing better than when our favorite worlds merge, in this case NY-based fashion designer Tracy Reese and California winery Clos Du Bois, the resulting marriage producing the fabulous love child above, the Chic Picnique. To celebrate some of our favorite things and their recent collaboration a group of chic ladies were invited to The Viceroy in Santa Monica today to sample their latest wines paired with some amazing nibbles while basking in the afternoon “winter” sun. Pics of the ladies in attendance below (plus one of my favorite meals in the world and runway photos of the fall 2012 collection!)… Continue reading

Tuesday Meetings, Lunch, Evening Events All in One Look

I love days when there’s no time to change between day and night. I love it even more when I am in LA because I can chuck the heels in the back of my car instead of shoving them into and hoping they don’t fall out of my purse the way I do when I am in NY (or the alternative, suffering through a myriad of cabs all day in my heels in NY…) Anyway, I digress. I love these leopard print flats from J Crew and not to overdose on Phillip Lim (though why wouldn’t I want to?) but the dress and the bag are just too chic to pass up. And of course my favorite go to guys for blazers, Rag & Bone. The one I bought a few seasons ago is so worn out I can’t really wear it anymore. For real. Below, my dream heels from McQueen which can go for both day or night and since we are blowing our entire budget on the heels a slightly more affordable clutch from Dorothy Perkins to offset the shoe addiction… Continue reading

Shoes by Madonna

Madonna’s got a new shoe collection launching for Fall 2012 that she designed with Aldo and her longtime stylist, costume designer and creative consultant Arianne Phillips. The Truth or Dare label has over 60 styles with price points starting at $89 up to $349. I’m kind of thinking that the gold T strap one on the right below should have a taller thinner heel but maybe that’s just me. Continue reading

L’Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes

A few weeks ago during Oscars party week we went to one of the Vanity Fair events and stumbled on some beauty goodies that had been laid out like candy in the ladies room. One of them was this gem of a mascara from L’Oreal, the Voluminous False Fiber Lashes which seriously is like a facelift for lashes. The last time I flipped over mascara this much was the first time I tried Lancome’s but this stuff is even better and only $10. L’Oreal has a knack…

Currer Bell

This fall Currer Bell, a collaboration between LA-based designer Geren Lockhart, founder and creative director of Geren Ford, and London based textile designer, Nancy Parker, founder and creative director of Nancy Parker Studio Ltd will launch in stores! Krupp Group in NYC is doing PR for them if you are looking for stylist or press pulls. I love the clothes as much as I love the name (it was the pseudonym of one of my favorite English writers Charlotte Bronte, which clearly says a lot about the brand itself). More easy chic below… (I want ALL of these dresses!) Continue reading

Pretty Prints for Spring (*Please Feel Free to Put a Bird On It)

Pretty cool prints for the warm weather coming up (or for now if you’re already in LA… don’t hate us because we relocated well). Jil Sander cotton hummingbird skirt, Paul Smith Los Angeles location skirt (love it!), Dries Van Noten silk palm print skirt, and Cacharel’s pleated crepe skirt.
