La Prairie Cellular Cream Platinum Rare

I’ve only read about the La Prairie Cellular Cream Platinum Rare and seen the bottle but am seduced by the promises and design of the packaging. It’s beautiful on both counts. A moisturizer full of antioxidants as well as colloidal platinum (full disclosure, I have Continue reading
Mark Morrisroe at Artists Space
Mark Morrisroe documented Boston’s punk scene and the underbelly of New York in the 80’s. A solo show of work from his new book “From This Moment On” is opening at Artists Space in NYC this Saturday March 5th from 6-8pm. There will be two nights of screenings of Mark Morrisroe’s Super-8mm short films, shown alongside the work of George and Mike Kuchar, Peggy Ahwesh, and Continue reading
Best Dressed… Oscars 2011
Honestly, that was a pretty dull Red Carpet but there were of course some beautiful ladies that walked it. And there were some great old Hollywood moments. Mila Kunis in Elie Saab (above) and Cate Blanchet in Givenchy Couture were my favorite but the ladies below looked stunning as well. And dresses aside, the films nominated this year for Best Picture are absolutely brilliant. I saw them all except for “Rabbit Hole” and “127 Hours” both of which are still on my list to see asap.

Cate Blanchet in Givenchy Couture

Reese Witherspoon in Armani Prive

Michelle Williams in Chanel Couture

Gwyneth Paltrow in Calvin Klein

Hailee Steinfeld in Marchesa (as I predicted…)

And Jesse Eisenberg, wearing I have no idea what, I just have a massive crush on the uber-talented lad, especailly after that NPR interview today. Brilliant. It was a fun night with the Oscars at the InStyle viewing party. Thanks ladies!

Clare Rojas at Prism
Last night Prism gallery hosted an opening for Clare Rojas‘ paintings which are really phenomenal. I love the graphic shapes and colors and soulful energy of the work. Totally obsessed. It’s up through April 2nd if you get the chance at 8746 W. Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood. Me with one of my clients, Taryn Manning, at the opening below… Continue reading
Socks & Heels
I am having a total 80’s socks and heels moment and put Taryn into these last night for the Rolling Stone magazine party. The socks are Celeste Stein, who does amazing stockings and socks in really cool prints and graphics. And the shoes are Brian Atwood Spring 2011.

Paul & André
It’s finally here, Paul Sevigny and André Saraiva’s new place opened last night in Hollywood. We went to Paul & Andre last night for the Purple Magazine party they hosted with Diesel. The place is somewhat hidden of course and the crowd eclectic and well mixed and the music, phenomenal. Beyond. I kept thinking it was Paul DJ’ing but Continue reading

Vanity Fair & Art of Elysium
I’m a big fan of what Art of Elysium does and actually found time to volunteer ONCE last year. Yes, I know, sad but true. I will find more time this year. They hosted an auction along with Vanity Fair at Siren Studios in Hollywood last night. It was a fun night with lots of great art and familiar faces including Helen Garber who had a painting in the silent auction that sold by the end of the night. Ginnifer Goodwin bid on a Stephanie Pryor painting similiar to the one above. I wasn’t familiar with the LA-based artist’s work but am a little obsessed now. Love the ethereal and dreamy quality.
