I flew to Aspen in a 24-hour whirlwind over the weekend to see what the folks at Aspen Fashion Week were up to. I left LA at 6am Sunday morning and landed in Aspen at 3pm… that includes a layover and 2 hour delay in Denver. Lucky for me I love to travel, even more so when it allows me time to catch up on my reading. And I was totally impressed with it all. I loved the secluded vibe of the whole event, loved sitting in the sun draped snowy foothills beneath the St.Regis, sipping hot chocolate and watching the girls & guys go by on the runway. The town itself was sublime, with great restaurants, boutiques and chalets… I can’t wait to go back. Made me fantasize about retiring and opening my restaurant there. So bummed to have to leave so quickly. Good thing there is another one next year…
