Matthew Marks is opening a new show from Brice Marden called “Letters” next week. This will be the iconic artist’s first one-person exhibition in New York since his 2006 Museum of Modern Art retrospective. The seven large canvases and thirteen works on paper included in this exhibition, along with 21 smaller drawings begun in China are the largest cohesive body of work the artist has made since his 1991 Cold Mountain series. Brice Marden: Letters will be on view at Matthew Marks Gallery in New York, 522 West 22nd Street, from October 29 through December 23, 2010.
