Julius Shulman’s Los Angeles

Photographer Julius Shulman‘s new book “Los Angeles: The Birth of a Modern Metropolis” By Sam Lubell and Douglas Woods with a foreword by Judy McKee comes out in April from Rizzoli New York. Shulman, who died almost two years ago, is known for documenting the pioneering architecture of Richard Neutra, Charles Eames and others in beautiful stark black and white photographs that to me look like paintings. I am obsessed with his work and the houses themselves. Beyond.
