Maison Martin Margiela has been around forever. It was always a favorite show of mine during Paris Fashion Week and remains one of my favorite lines. I didn’t get a chance to go to Paris again this season but plan on finally being back in the Fall and this is one of the shows I am most excited to see again. I always love the way he is able to create a runway collection with all the layers of experimentation and the Avant Garde you could ask from a designer and yet somehow the collections easily get translated into a simple, sellable and wearable line of great basics with a beautiful long lasting twist. I still have pieces in my wardrobe that I bought almost ten years ago and they are still relevant and wearable. Amazing. Margiela is also launching the house’s first fragrance this April called Untitled.
